From The Air

Landscapes that only resolve from above.

Some of this country was never meant to be reached by road. Alpine tarns above the glaciers, a valley of ash and volcanoes, a waterfall too wide to take in from any single point on the ground — flown low, and landed where nothing else can.

How This Works

Woven into an itinerary, or arranged on request.

Helicopter flying sits inside our safaris in three different ways, and it matters which one applies to which experience below. One flight comes with a Zimbabwe itinerary automatically. Some camp-to-camp transfers are already costed into your quote. Everything else on this page is arranged on request, priced against the specific flight, and added to whichever itinerary it best fits.

Always included

Victoria Falls by air comes standard with every Zimbabwe itinerary. There is nothing to add and nothing to request.

Already in your quote

Where an itinerary calls for a helicopter between two camps, that leg is priced in from the first quote — not billed again later.

On request

The remaining flights — Mount Kenya’s lakes, the far north, the migration by air — are arranged and quoted against your dates and route.

The Experiences

Nine ways to see this country from the air.

From a waterfall already built into your Zimbabwe days to a valley of volcanoes that no road reaches at all. Each can be shown in full below.

Flight times depend on aircraft, party size and conditions on the day, and remote landings such as Logipi or the Barrier are weather-dependent. Where a card is marked “On Request,” we quote it against your actual itinerary once we know your dates and route.

How To Arrange It

Tell us which flights belong in your safari.

01

You tell us what interests you

Any of the experiences above, or simply “somewhere by air” and we will suggest what fits your route.

02

We fit it to your itinerary

Flights are placed against the camps and days you already have, or built around from the start.

03

You see one figure

Anything on request is quoted and shown before it is confirmed. Included flights need no separate figure at all.

04

We fly it

Aircraft, pilot and landing arranged, timed around the rest of your days on safari.

Some views only exist from the air.

Tell us which of these belongs in your safari, and we will fit it to your days.
