Picture the quintessential African safari, and the mind invariably drifts to Kenya: endless golden savannahs studded with solitary acacia trees, elephants descending on ancient watering holes, cheetahs and leopards hunting beneath wide skies, guttural lion roars the soundtrack to dawn and dusk. This is the land that inspired Out of Africa, Born Free and The Lion King — the widescreen stage for the Great Migration, which sees nearly two million wildebeest and zebra racing for their lives across plains inhabited by big cats and crocodiles. It is here, too, that some of Africa's most iconic lions once ruled the plains — the legendary Scarface and the famed Musketeers, Morani, Hunter, Sikio and Scar — whose story captivated wildlife enthusiasts the world over and became part of Maasai Mara folklore.
Kenya is where our story began. Founded in 2025, Finders & Keepers Safaris was built upon a simple belief: that the greatest luxury in life is not what we own, but the memories we carry with us. We do not simply create itineraries — we create stories worth remembering. From the iconic plains of the Maasai Mara to the untouched wilderness of Laikipia, from the elephant kingdoms of Amboseli to the remote frontiers of northern Kenya, every journey we design is crafted to become a chapter in your life's story, intentionally personal, thoughtfully curated, and designed around authenticity rather than excess. Our guests enjoy access to some of East Africa's most exceptional properties and experiences: luxury camps overlooking the Mara River, exclusive conservancies where wildlife outnumbers visitors, horseback safaris across ancient rangelands, private bush dinners beneath starlit skies, and mobile tented camps that place you at the heart of the wilderness.
Yet for us, true luxury extends beyond beautiful lodges and exceptional service. It is the feeling of watching elephants cross a river at sunset while sharing a quiet moment with someone you love. It is drifting silently above the savannah in a hot air balloon as the first light touches the earth. It is tracking rhino on foot alongside expert rangers at Ol Pejeta who have dedicated their lives to protecting them, and falling asleep beneath a blanket of stars while the sounds of Africa surround you. We believe that the most meaningful journeys connect travelers not only with wildlife, but with the people and conservation efforts that make these landscapes possible — the conservancies protecting endangered species, the rangers safeguarding vulnerable ecosystems, and the local communities whose stewardship has preserved these wild places for generations. Whether you dream of witnessing the Great Migration thunder across the Mara, tracking black rhino through the plains of Ol Pejeta, riding horseback alongside Grevy's zebra in Loisaba, or simply sitting quietly as the African sun disappears beyond the horizon, we will create a journey that feels uniquely yours. Because at Finders & Keepers Safaris, travel is measured not in miles traveled, but in memories made — and Kenya, like all first loves, remains always unforgettable.
Discover the heart of Kenya's conservation movement across three of Laikipia's most prestigious private sanctuaries. This 12-day circuit travels through Lewa, Loisaba, the Maasai Mara, and Lake Naivasha & Hell's Gate. Experience world-class wildlife encounters with expert conservation rangers, thrilling horse-riding safaris, spectacular hot air balloon adventures, unique camel safaris, and a restorative geothermal spa stop at Hell's Gate. Stay at luxury lodges including Lewa Wilderness Lodge, Loisaba Lodo Springs, and Angama Mara.

The Laikipia plateau in Kenya's northern highlands contains some of the most exclusive and ecologically significant private conservancies on the continent — a mosaic of ranches, wildlife sanctuaries, and indigenous community partnerships protecting over 8,000 square kilometres of wilderness. This 12-day circuit moves through six of these estates in sequence, each one offering something entirely different: from Segera's contemporary art and conservation research to Borana's horseback safaris, Suyian's legendary remoteness, and Loisaba's vast open skies. This is Kenya for those who have seen the national parks and want something more.

Tsavo East National Park, Kenya
Satao sits on the edge of a permanent waterhole deep inside Tsavo East, Kenya’s largest protected area at 13,747 square kilometres and home to elephants famously stained ochre by the park’s red dust. Traditional walk-in canvas tents are raised on wooden platforms beneath a natural grove of doum palms, each with an en-suite bathroom and a shaded veranda facing the water.
The camp is arranged so that game viewing happens as readily from your own deck as from a vehicle. Herds come down to drink through the day and into the night, and meals are served with direct sightlines to the waterhole — dinner on the main deck, drinks around the campfire, bush breakfasts on request.
Tsavo East’s scale and comparatively low visitor numbers are the real draw. For travellers who have already done the Maasai Mara and want something wilder and considerably less crowded, this is the road less travelled: wide open plains, the Yatta Plateau — one of the longest lava flows on Earth — and long, unhurried sightings with no other vehicles in them.
