Overview
Riverbed Suites Among the Baobabs
Nimali — Swahili for "wealth" — reflects a simple belief that nature is Africa’s finest asset. This private concession on Tarangire’s eastern boundary offers activities the national park itself cannot.
Easily reached by road from Arusha, Nimali Tarangire sits within its own concession bordering Tarangire National Park, home to ancient towering baobabs, huge elephant herds, and more than 500 recorded bird species. The camp's tented suites are spaced along the edge of a seasonal riverbed among acacia trees, each set on a stone and timber plinth with a private deck. Because the concession sits outside the national park boundary, Nimali is able to offer night drives and guided walking safaris not permitted within Tarangire itself.

The lodge combines easily with sister properties Nimali Serengeti (Central Serengeti) and Nimali Mara (Northern Serengeti).
A small conservation fee included in every stay supports local schools bordering the concession.
