Tailor-Made Travel
We are here for that.
Start an EnquiryThe journeys on this site are the routes we would take ourselves. Each one has been walked, driven, flown and slept in — the order of the days, the choice of camps, and the timing of every drive, flight and crossing all exist for a reason. That work is yours to keep.
But none of it is fixed. Two travellers reading the same itinerary rarely want the same journey out of it. One wants three more nights and a slower start. Another has stayed at one of the lodges before and would rather try somewhere new. A family needs interconnecting rooms and shorter driving days; a couple wants a private vehicle throughout and dinner on the beach. All of that is ordinary, and all of it is possible.
So treat the published itinerary as a conversation opener. Tell us what you would change, and a specialist will rebuild the journey around it — then price it honestly, so you can see exactly what each change costs before you commit to anything.
What We Can Change
These are the changes our specialists make most often. If what you have in mind is not on this list, ask anyway: the list is a guide, not a limit.
01
Add unstructured days where the itinerary feels full. Split a long transfer into two shorter ones. Trade an early start for a late breakfast. Some travellers want a landscape covered in six days; others want the same ground in ten, with room to do nothing at all.
02
Any property in an itinerary can be swapped — for a larger suite or villa, for a quieter or livelier camp, for something at a different price, or for somewhere you already know and love. Tell us what you did not enjoy about a past stay and we will steer you away from more of the same.
03
Extend a journey by a few nights or a full week, or trim it to fit the leave you actually have. Beach endings, city stopovers and a rest day before the flight home are all easy additions — and often the difference between arriving home tired and arriving home restored.
04
Travel on your dates, not ours. We will also tell you plainly how the season changes what you see — migration timing, turtle nesting, whale and whale shark months, dry-season game viewing, monsoon and cyclone windows — so you can move a departure when the wildlife or the weather is the point.
05
The same route works very differently for a couple, a family with young children, a multi-generational group or a solo traveller. We adjust room configurations, minimum-age activities, walking distances, vehicle arrangements and guiding style to suit the party actually going.
06
Add helicopter and scenic flights, diving and snorkelling, walking safaris, private guiding, spa days, cultural visits, photography-led drives or a private chef. Just as importantly, remove anything that does not appeal — nothing in an itinerary is compulsory.
07
Most of our journeys join well to another country. A safari can end on an island; an island stay can begin in a city. If you want two destinations in one trip, we will work out the routing, the internal flights and the sensible order to travel them in.
08
We can route from your home airport, choose between scheduled and charter flights, upgrade or simplify transfers, and tune the whole journey up or down to a budget you set. Tell us the number you have in mind and we will build honestly towards it.
How It Works
There is no charge for planning and no commitment until you are happy with both the journey and the price in front of you.
1
Send us the journey you are looking at, your rough dates, how many of you are travelling, and what you would do differently. A few lines is enough to start.
2
A specialist who knows the destination reworks the route, checks live availability at the properties you want, and comes back with a revised day-by-day itinerary and a clear price.
3
Change your mind as often as you need. Most journeys go through two or three revisions before they feel right, and we would far rather you asked now than wished later.
4
Once you are happy, a deposit confirms the journey and we hold every element of it. Your specialist stays reachable from that moment until you are home again.
What Never Changes
Tailoring changes the journey. It does not change how we work.
The person who plans your journey is the person you speak to about it — before you travel, and while you are away.
A guide may reorder a day for weather, wildlife or road conditions, but every place set out in your final itinerary is visited.
We do not cancel, merge or reschedule a confirmed departure for commercial reasons, however the final numbers fall.
You see what each change costs before you agree to it. Nothing is added to an itinerary without being priced and shown to you first.
Enquire
Name the journey, your approximate dates, who is travelling, and what you would do differently — the pace, the lodges, the length, the budget, or all four. A specialist will come back to you with a reworked itinerary and a price.
Planning and revisions are free. Nothing is held or charged until you confirm.
