Victoria Falls does not fully resolve from any single point on the ground.
The gorge is too long and the spray too tall to take in from a viewpoint, a bridge, or even a boat. From the air, in the time it takes to fly the length of it, the whole thing finally reads as one object: the mile-wide curtain, the zigzag gorge cut over millennia, and the Zambezi gathering itself again below.
