Just You

Solo Travel

Your own pace, your own company, and nowhere you have to be but exactly where you are.

Overview

Wildlife, without the rush.

Most people who travel with us alone are not running from company — they are choosing something specific. Travelling solo means nobody else’s pace to keep, nobody else’s priorities to work around, and no schedule to negotiate. The safari moves at exactly the speed you want it to.

There is a particular quiet that comes from being the only person in the vehicle when the light turns gold, or the only one at the table for a sundowner in the middle of the Maasai Mara, glass in hand, with nowhere else to be. It is not loneliness. It is closer to the opposite — an ease in your own company that group travel rarely leaves room for.

Noteworthy Details

Details worth knowing before you go.

Solo travellers often move during the quieter months, and the quieter months tend to be the better ones for spotting wildlife — fewer vehicles at every sighting, and animals that have not been pushed off the main tracks.

That same quiet makes solo travel particularly well suited to photographers and anyone working — a clear line of sight, room to wait for the shot, and nobody else’s schedule cutting the moment short.

If you can be flexible about when you go, January through April is the strongest window we would point a solo traveller toward.

Why Travel Solo

The case for going alone.

A solo itinerary is yours to adjust in ways a group trip rarely allows. Want another morning at a camp you did not expect to love, or ready to move on early from somewhere that did not quite land? On a solo journey, that is simply a conversation with your guide, not a group decision.

Every solo safari runs with a private guide and vehicle as standard — which means every stop, every extra ten minutes at a sighting, every quiet detour, happens because you asked for it.
