Overview
Palazzo Dandolo
A hundred and twenty rooms and suites across some of the finest Venetian Gothic architecture in the city.
Palazzo Dandolo was built in 1471 as the residence of the noble Dandolo family and is one of the finest surviving examples of Venetian Gothic architecture. It became a hotel in 1822 and has been a byword for Venetian luxury ever since, receiving Charles Dickens and Richard Wagner among many others. The Danieli reopened as a Four Seasons in July 2026 after an extensive restoration across Palazzo Dandolo and Palazzo Casa Nuova — the latter once home to the Treasury of the Venetian Republic — with 120 rooms and suites, more generous layouts, and an expanded collection of junior and one-bedroom suites.
More rooms are still coming. The restoration of the third building, Palazzo Danieli Excelsior, completes in 2027 and will take the hotel to 168 rooms and suites in total.
