Overview
On the Site of a Summer Palace
Hotel Sahrai — meaning magic — rises where Marshal Lyautey's summer palace once stood, its facade of great arches reinterpreting the building that came before it.
Designed by architect and designer Christophe Pillet, the hotel is a marvel of light and space arranged around plant-covered atriums, mixing traditional Moroccan features — Taza stonework, Fassi ceramics, cedar carving — with crisp, contemporary interiors and designer furnishings chosen down to the last coffee table. Fifty rooms and suites, spread between superior rooms, deluxe rooms, junior suites and a single Sahrai Suite, all take in spectacular views over twelve centuries of Fez medina history, the largest car-free urban area in the world. A rooftop bar, an exclusive Givenchy spa and two restaurants complete a hotel built to feel like a sensory retreat above the city's ancient chaos.
A Small Luxury Hotels of the World member. Hotel Sahrai holds membership in Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a mark of its position among Morocco's more design-forward five-star addresses.
