Overview
Where the Rainforest Meets the Tea Fields
Set within a working tea plantation bordering Nyungwe National Park, One&Only Nyungwe House pairs contemporary One&Only luxury with access to one of Africa's oldest and largest mountain rainforests.
Nyungwe National Park, declared in 2012, protects a vast montane rainforest home to roughly 20% of Africa's primate species — including chimpanzees, Ruwenzori colobus and owl-faced monkeys — alongside orchids, butterflies and hundreds of bird species. One&Only Nyungwe House's 22 suites and villas sit on a hillside within the neighbouring Gisakura tea estate, each with a private terrace looking out over the plantation toward the forested mountains beyond. The resort's homestead building houses all-inclusive dining, a spa using Africology products, and a helipad connecting guests directly to Kigali in around 35 minutes.
