Overview
A Fortress, Rediscovered
Kasbah Tamadot — Berber for gentle breeze — was first spotted by Richard Branson's mother, Eve, and later bought by Branson himself during a ballooning trip over the Atlas foothills.
Originally the home of antique dealer and interior designer Luciano Tempo, the crenellated fortress retains antiques gathered from across the world, layered through decades of individual attention into each of its 42 rooms, riads, tents and suites. Views stretch across a forested river valley to snow-capped peaks including Mount Toubkal, North Africa's highest, just an hour's drive from Marrakech. Ten of the accommodations are luxurious Berber tents, perched on the hillside with mountain views and large soaking tubs, while three-bedroom riads with private pools suit families wanting the whole property to themselves.
Part of Virgin Limited Edition. Kasbah Tamadot is one of Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Limited Edition properties, and was recently awarded 3 MICHELIN Keys in recognition of its restoration and hospitality.
