Overview
Opened 1921, Renovated 2015
Seventy-two rooms between the city beach and Diocletian’s Palace.
Hotel Park opened in 1921 and was fully renovated in 2015, giving it a contemporary interior inside a building with genuine history. It holds 72 rooms in a position that is close to ideal for Split: steps from Bačvice Beach, eleven minutes on foot from Diocletian’s Palace and the port, and next door to a public beach. The old town here is not a preserved ruin but a working one — more than 220 Roman-era buildings inside the palace walls still hold homes, shops and bars.
The palace is a town, not a museum. Diocletian built it as a retirement complex in the fourth century. Seventeen hundred years later people still live inside it, which is why Split feels unlike any other Roman site.
