Overview
The Elegance of Chinese Literati
Zhenshansu winds along the mountainside in three connected rows, its antique rooflines resembling a small ridge, giving the whole inn the character of a mountainous landscape painting brought to life.
The inn sits within Gexian Village, a resort built around the legend of the Taoist immortal Ge Xuan, where lantern-lit streets, nightly light shows and a cable car draw visitors into a landscape of mist-wrapped peaks and ancient pine forest. Zhenshansu introduces the natural landscape indoors wherever possible, taking the return to nature as a form of spiritual comfort — its architecture and interiors designed around the aesthetic sensibilities of Chinese literati scholars. Rooms across its three tiers each offer views over the surrounding village and mountains, with higher rows commanding the widest outlook across Gexian's peaks.
