Overview
Where the Water Builds the Rock
A contemporary base in the heart of Plitvice, minutes from the park gates.
Fenomen Plitvice was built around a simple idea: that the closer you sleep to the lakes, the earlier you can walk them, and the earlier you walk them, the better they are. The resort sits in the heart of the Plitvice Lakes region and was conceived to bring authentic local tradition together with contemporary comfort — an extension of the park rather than a hotel near it. Sixteen interconnected lakes lie in a stepped chain joined by waterfalls, with wooden walkways laid directly over the water.
The rock is still growing. Plitvice’s barriers are built by travertine, deposited by moss and algae in the flowing water. The landscape is not eroding — it is being constructed, slowly, in front of you.
