Overview
The City's First Urban Resort
Regent Chongqing occupies the city's Jiangbeizui financial district, at the exact point where the Yangtze and Jialing rivers meet — a position the brand calls Chongqing's first true urban resort.
Ceramic, jade, metal and lacquer run through the interiors, a deliberate nod to building materials used for centuries in Sichuan province, brought together by designer Eric Tsay alongside ceramic artist Yu Le En and textile artist Lee Chen Lin. All 202 rooms and suites average 57 square metres, most with panoramic views over the Jialing River and Yuzhong Peninsula, while the 21 suites average a generous 182 square metres. Directly across the water, the stilted, lantern-lit architecture of Hongyadong rises from the hillside each evening — one of Chongqing's most photographed sights, and clearly visible from the hotel's own Two Rivers Bar.
A 30-minute drive from the airport. Regent Chongqing sits roughly 30 minutes from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, and a 10-minute drive from the Jiefangbei and Guanyinqiao commercial centres.
