Overview
Understated Luxury, Eastern Mana Pools
Nyamatusi means “wild game” — a fitting name for African Bush Camps' most refined address, tucked into old-growth mahogany and sausage trees on the far eastern edge of Mana Pools.
Mana Pools National Park takes its name from the Shona word for “four,” referring to the four permanent pools that anchor this UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Zambezi's floodplain. Nyamatusi sits within the Nyamatusi Wilderness Concession, a stretch of classic miombo woodland supporting cheetah, wild dog, lion and leopard. The camp is entirely solar-powered, taking advantage of Zimbabwe's average 300 sun-hours a month, with full in-room charging facilities and a large on-site solar farm — luxury built without compromising the eco-conscious principles that define its design.
